I am thrilled to be able to practice dentistry in the most beautiful and friendly beach in North Carolina. I have been visiting the area for many years and love everything this area has to offer. After working as an associate dentist in Greenville, NC for two years, my husband and I decided to relocate to Ocean Isle Beach with our daughter Abigail and dachshund Katie.
Dentistry is my pride and passion so I am careful to listen and respond to each patient’s individual needs and provide quality care that I can be proud of. I will take the time to educate and discuss ways to maintain and improve your smile and oral health. Well informed patients are better prepared to make decisions about their dental care and will be more satisfied with their treatment.
I attended dental school at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to my dental education I received my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at East Carolina University. I returned to East Carolina University after my dental school education to complete a General Practice Residency at The Brody School of Medicine. My residency advanced my skill set to include sedation, placement of implants, oral surgery procedures, treatment of gum disease, root canals, dentures, partials and emergency treatment. This will minimize referrals from my office allowing for more convenient dental care.
Staying up to date with the latest advancements and technology is important, therefore I regularly attend advanced and continuing education courses. I maintain my membership with the North Carolina Dental Society and American Dental Association. I am also currently certified in Basic Life Support.
I am excited to develop long term relationships with the residents in and around Ocean Isle Beach and look forward to seeing everyone in the office and on the water.
